What’s hot at ICE Totally Gaming 2018?

In February it’s the 2018 ICE Totally Gaming Event, one of the most internationally inclusive and biggest B2B gaming events in the world. This hotly anticipated event is, as usual, being held at the Excel Centre in Central London. It takes place from the 6th to the 8th February. As always, a huge amount of exhibitors will be in place as well as talks, demonstrations and hopefully the launching of plenty of thrilling new products, platforms, ideas and gaming things to get excited about and try out during the event. It’s also one of the only events of its kind that brings together people and businesses from the online and offline gaming worlds. Over 30,000 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors from 150 countries are expected to descend upon the Excel Centre in just a few weeks. Read on as we take a look at the hottest new things to expect at this year’s upcoming event.

A brilliant addition to the exhibition, Pitch ICE allows startups to pitch their ideas to a truly global and captive audience. Startups submit a YouTube video pitch and ten of these startups will be chosen to deliver their pitch live on the Show Floor Stage. Whether you’re a serious investor or just like to keep your finger on the pulse, Pitch ICE is a must-see feature of this year’s event. Startups had until the start of Jan to submit their YouTube pitch video and hope for a slot.

Another of the most exciting aspects of the event is the partnering of the event organisers, the National Casino Forum, and some of London’s top casinos to create a VIP London Casino Club for ICE Totally Gaming attendees. This means that anyone with an ICE Visitor badge can visit one of these casinos for some extra privileges which range from free drinks to a complimentary seat at a show. Currently, casinos involved include Aspers Stratford, Caesars Entertainment, Genting Casinos UK, The Hippodrome Casino and Park Lane Club. Visiting one of these casinos in the evening, following a good walk around the event, is a great way to finish your day in the capital. Check back on the ICE Totally Gaming Event website for updated information about the offers and privileges that attendees can take advantage of.

ICE Totally Gaming will be overlapping with ICE VOX for the first two days. This collection of nine, paid-for learning seminars replaces the previous year’s ICE CONFERENCES. This year the conferences include hot topics such as The International Casino Conference (ICC), World Regulatory Briefing, Data Science & Personalisation, eSports, Game Design & Development, Blockchain, Cybercrime & Security, Modernising Lotteries and Sports Betting USA. All these seminars will be looking at the key challenges of the industry and will be delivered by gaming visionaries who have both helped build the industry so far and will also help shape its future. Note that ICE VOX is technically a separate event running alongside ICE Totally Gaming. Booking onto an ICE VOX seminar needs to be done separately on the ICE VOX website.

ICE has also broken new ground this year by partnering with a charity for the first time. The Young Gamblers’ Education Trust is a charity that aims to inform, educate and safeguard young people about the dangers of gambling addiction. This partnering can only be seen as a positive sign that gambling charities and the industry want to work together.

As well as all the trusted and regular exhibitors and industry stalwarts there will also be plenty of new exhibitors. Both new and old names from the gaming industry will be doing product launches at the event. Keep your eyes peeled on the day of your visit as to what is happening that day in terms of demonstrations, free talks and interactive product launches.

Not in its first year but definitely worth a mention, the Racing Post will be supplying interested parties with a place to learn more about its operations at a networking cafe. As always, anyone looking for new clients, partners and affiliates can head to the Racing Post Cafe, an area of the event set up for networking.

The ICE Totally Gaming Event has grown every year, from a UK-focused convention to a larger event with international attendance. It’s the only event of its kind in the world that truly brings gaming names from every corner of the world together at once, offering an excellent opportunity to find investments, make investments, forge business relationships and also keep your finger on the pulse in this fast-paced and constantly evolving industry. It’s a key date on the calendar of any gaming business, whether you work in betting, casinos, mobile, lottery, bingo, street or social gaming.
